hollyhandmade:

3 ingredient DIY dry shampoo
Ingredients you will need -
❀ 4 Tbsp of Cornstarch
❀ 2 Tbsp of cocoa powder (this is optional; used for brunets, this so your hair doesn’t look white, if you’re blonde don’t use cocoa powder)
❀ 3-5 drops of your fave essential oil
Method
Combine the cornstarch (cocoa powder) and your essential oil into a little bowl until mixed thoroughly. You can now use either your hands or an old makeup (powder) brush to distribute the mixture. This mixture should absorb the excess oil from the hair and leave a fresh sent; you can also use this to add some texture/volume to your hair!

Anonymous: hey holly! i have really dry spilt hair what product should i use also any tips or product for my hair to grow!

Hey lovely!

The only way to get rid of split ends is to cut them off! I know thats not what you want to hear, but as soon as your hair has split, there is no hope of bonding it back together.

As for hair growth - try not to use ‘products’ as much as possible! The more natural ingredients you put on your hair, the better; especially when they include the same chemistry of oils that are already naturally in your hair (e.g. avocado, jojoba & macadamia oils)!

Heres a hair mask that makes your hair softer & just look nicer etc! It should also boost your hair growth if you use it often!

I hope I helped! Just message me if you have any other questions xxx

Hydrating sugar scrub
This scrub is great for the winter months especially when your skin is dry from the change of climate. (may not be suitable on very sensitive skin).
Choose what sugar you would like to use, I use coconut sugar but you can use ‘regular’ brown sugar or whatever you prefer. Then choose an oil that you would like to combine with your sugar. You can use your favourite or any of the following: Macadamia oil, Avocado oil, Olive oil or melted butters like coconut butter. (The oils will hydrate your skin while your pores are open in the shower or bath). You want 1 part oil to 2 parts sugar. You can use anything from a few tablespoons to a cup of sugar depending how much you want to make. Place half that amount of oil. Mix with a spoon. If you want your scrub to smell yummy, drop your fave essential oil into your mixture. Mix with spoon.
Your scrub is now ready to use! Either in the shower or bath, take a bath mitt, or you can use your hands and grab a spoonful of the mixture into your palms or your mitt and rub the mixture all over your body in circular motions. On places like the chest, neck, and stomach, where the skin is thinner, take it easy with the scrubbing and instead use cleanser on a washcloth to exfoliate.
Once entire body is scrubbed well, rinse thoroughly. Pat skin dry. You should feel lovely and cleansed. The sugar should have exfoliated your skin nicely (with the help of the loofah) and the oil should leave skin soft and moisturised. You might even not need to follow with a moisturiser.

How to make iced coffee ❄

Brew your morning coffee. Once its brewed, fill up an ice cube tray. Place in the freezer, while that’s freezing refrigerate the left over coffee that wasn’t used in the ice cube tray.

Once the iced coffee cubes is frozen, place them in a glass. Then add the chilled coffee and milk of your preference. If your lactose intolerant like me, use coconut milk or almond milk, bought or homemade. You can optionally add some honey or agave syrup to sweeten your iced coffee to taste. Mix it all up and sip away. You can also use this recipe with chai tea if you’re not a coffee drinker. I’ll be posting how to make your own chai tea soon. ENJOY! Love from Holly 💛
